Since graduating in illustration at the Arts Déco de Strasbourg in 2016, Manon has explored different mediums and formats, sometimes experimenting with a more tactile approach than just drawing. Her inspiration often comes from her surroundings, everyday details she photographs on her phone or visuals she finds in manuals on crafts and creative hobbies. Her drawings are sometimes blurry and play with abstraction, but they feature a vocabulary of mundane shapes which she transforms into figurative and surprisingly delicate compositions.
She also uses plaster as an unexpected material to draw with, leaving it white at first and sometimes giving it meaning with airbrush colours. Her projects, like the mediums she uses are diverse, and her work sits just as comfortably in books, printed images, screens or in shelves and cabinets where her imaginary landscapes or voluminous objects take on a whole different meaning.
